On September 16, 2011 a group of deaf children will go on the excursion «The story’s false; but in it lies some truth, seen but by inward eyes» to the children’s museum «House of Fairy Tales ‘Once upon a time . . .’ » in the All-Russia Exhibition Centre. The excursion is carried out by the Regional Charity Public Foundation «Kachestvo Zhizni» (Quality of Life) within the framework of the programme «World Around Us» aimed at organization of a free-of-charge excursion service for disabled people under support of the Moscow Department of Social Protection.
A group of deaf children from two Moscow special boarding schools will find themselves in a really magic world, whose characters from the pages of favourite fairy tales are known to all the children. They will meet kind Vodianoy and Tsarevna Liagushka (Princess Frog), Ivan-Tsarevich and real Baba Yaga. All sorts of adventures expect the children in the House of Fairy Tales ‘Once upon a time . . .’
The young participants of the excursion will not only watch a theatricalized costumed performance. They will take part in various adventures of the favourite book characters accompanied by a kind storyteller. Such informative rest will help children to fill their life with bright colours and strong emotions, and fairy-tale therapy will discover for them a lot of opportunities of the world around us.
The group of children will be accompanied by interpreters of the gesture language and teachers of the special schools where the children study.
